PHOTOGRAPHING  PRAGUE  ARCHITECTURE, 1848 - 1921

The Architects’ Hall hosts the first of a cycle of exhibitions mapping the ways in which Prague architecture has been photographed.

Even if the second plan of the exhibition deals with architectural transformations of Prague, the main axis of this project focuses on the history of photography of Prague architecture. The exhibition cycle presents various photographic approaches and figures, whose importance for the documentation of the development of Prague architecture has not always been known or appreciated.The exhibition of photos dating from the second half of the 19th and the first two decades of the 20th centuries shows over a hundred photos from various collections, both well-known, and still unrecognised.
